Meeting & Potluck
Please join us for our monthly Leadership Meeting followed by a Potluck
meal. We encourage all members as well as non-members to participate and
provide us with your ideas and input. This month the meeting will be held
in the building behind the Church of the Advent located at:
Washington Street & Franklin Street,
Cape May 3:15 - 6:00 pm

Farm Apprentice Program ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Slow Food of SJ is accepting applications to apprentice on Beach Plum
Farm located in West Cape May. The Farm grows organic produce for five restaurants
in Cape May and Atlantic City. Volunteers must commit to work 2-4 hours a
week and in exchange will receive whatever fruits and vegetables are
being harvested. To apply please email:

True Food Now!

On Friday, June 12, "Food, Inc." the new documentary exposé of
the safety hazards and corporate control of our current food system will
open in New York City, Los Angeles and San Francisco, followed by
the nationwide release on June 19th. The Center for Food Safety
(CFS) provided the filmmakers with both expertise and critical information,
and CFS founder and Executive Director Andrew Kimbrell urged all
concerned with the food they eat to see the film."Food, Inc."
is must-see viewing for everyone who eats," said the Center's
Kimbrell. "I urge American consumers to make it a point to see
this important and revealing film, which will, I hope, help to
permanently change the way we all eat."
